Dr.jim
Jo Faye Always takes me to the Dr. .About ten years ago we just went for an annual visit . After we got home a letter came what it said was ,Kenneth will be dead in less than 5 years. So I thought I'll just show him so far I have and hope to do so for some time to come. That was one reason I quit smoking. Just look to your left and you can see another. Is she beautiful.Sure am glad she loves me too

It is friday..
Must say I have a hard time getting to this blog spot. After I do get on, I do something and lose it. When we lived at 1111 north 7th I was in the front yard.Glenn Jr. drove up jumped out of his car and ask if I would like to go for coffee. I said where. He said how about Oklahoma . Sounds like a good idea to me said I. My car was at the curb .Without a word we got in. 300 miles later, Glenn said that looks like a good spot,a small cafe,we went in bought a cup, drank it . got back in my car and drove home............ this was not the only time Glenn and I did such things.

past
TO review the past of such a diverse endividual could only be done in small bits. First there were 5 boys in our family, I was the middle,or # 3. The middle one always got blamed for all that went wrong. Cant say it was not so ,mostly, but I got most of the whoppings. at home or at school . When in high school I found the best part of my life her name was Jo Faye Meacham . She walked into Sunday school ,I said bring her back for I am going to marry her ,they did and I did. Life turned out to be heaven . Just look at what she gave us for a family. Enouf said for now

Smoking
As a young boy I thought smoking made me look like a much older boy.I began to smoke around the age of 5. At first it was 1 or 2 per day , as time went by it got to be 1 or 2 packs . I made many attempts to stop, but to no avail . For 67 years I smoked .It was the dumbest thing I could have done . At last at the age of 72, I just said ,I quit.and did. Just think how much money I could have saved had I never smoked . I hope none of you never start. love you all Daddy Ken

In the 50s &60s
Back in the days when I was much younger ,I ran a service station and at the same time had a car driving service for car dealers. What that meant was lots of days I spent almost 24 hours a day 2 or 3 days a week working .When you are young you can do that .Sometimes I would work at the station until 9 pm then drive to Corpus Christi about 11 hours round trip. We would take as many as 20 cars at a time all with a driver .We had to have a car or cars to return.usually packed. I used mostly boys from high school.Made a lot also spent a lot. It was fun . In the end was mostly broke. Steve drove some for me.I think he could tell a good story or 2 about those trips. ask him... love Daddy Ken
I am trying
Here am I,Daddy Ken, just trying to make a splash. It is my first time to blog and I really don't know just what to talk about. Mother is asleep, 3am,i just found your email telling me how to do this. I usually get up early just because. On the other hand she likes to sleep late ,around 8 or 9 pm.chili and pepper ,even later. this looks like it will be fun if I can find things to talk about. The TV is on in the den, just news. Right now have found something I'd rather do than watch the news .I will be able to look back at what I said in the beginning . Love Dad

Sunny Sunday Afternoon
We woke up early and had breakfast. My knee and back were hurting, so I decided to lie back down for a little bit and I fell asleep and did not wake up until 9:30, so I did not have time to get ready and get to church. After lunch I went out and swept up the leaves that had blown up to the door and all over the porch. It was so nice that I sat down on the glider and finally just lay down on it for a while. I hated to come in but Dad was having a hard time typing with Steve, so I had to take over.
